I decided to head in a generally North Westerly direction for a road trip this time during my holiday. I'd promised Jess I'd come out to Roma and visit her and Kris so headed there first as I was still undecided which place I'd visit, Alice and the rock or north QLD. 

I departed for Roma Wednesday arvo and arrived there early night time. On the way heading west I was able to keep an eye on the sun as it set and found a nice spot to shoot a great sunset!

I spent till Fri arvo with Jess and Kris and was put to work helping set stuff up in their new house which they commenced moving into last weekend. Here they are sitting peacefully on their veranda with Les the dog! I think I might have psychologically damaged Les. You see I have these high powered LED torches and when focused  they shine a bright spot on the ground which Les decided needed to be caught. Unfortunately for Les he lacks a functioning brain cell and was incapable of realising even a dog can't catch a spot of light moving on the ground. SO Jess, Kris and I were rolling about with laughter after spinning the light around Les, resulting in him chasing his back end, until he was unable to walk in a strait line, or even remain standing!! since that encounter he is constantly looking for the spot of light to chase. He definitely has ADD, and associated minuscule ability to focus for more than 7 seconds... we were amused!

This is their block...... very nice.

So I left Roma and plonked into a nice motel (yes I'm a slack bum, but I WILL use my tent!!!!) at Springsure Friday evening. This is a nice looking bit of country and I shall have a look about tomorrow. 

I'll start taking more photos from now on as I am now in territory I've not been in before.
